US Student Survives 8th-Floor Fall After Dancing Near Window

Kristin Sargent, a 21-year-old University of Georgia senior studying finance and marketing, is recovering in intensive care after falling from an eighth-floor window at an off-campus apartment in Athens, Georgia. She fell while dancing on a couch near the open window, broke through the screen, and struck a metal bench before landing near the pool deck. She remains conscious and is communicating with family and friends.
