The US services sector expanded at its fastest pace in over five years in September, with the S&P Global US Services Business Activity Index rising to 58.8 from 56.5 in August. This marks the fourth consecutive monthly increase and six months of growth, driven by strong domestic demand, rising new orders, improved business confidence, and increased hiring. Employment grew at the fastest rate since June, despite ongoing workload challenges and rising backlogs for the 19th month.
