US Navy Approves $44.6M Deal to Redevelop Former California Naval Station
The US Navy has approved a $44.6 million financial agreement with Brookfield Properties to redevelop 2,422 acres at the former Concord Naval Weapons Station in California. Brookfield, the master developer, will pay the amount plus interest. This approval enables Concord and Brookfield to start work on a Specific Plan, with further community engagement planned for early 2027.
