US EV Sales Decline After Tax Credit Ends, Europe Sees Growth
Electric vehicle sales in the US have dropped 30.7% through September as federal tax credits expired, causing consumers to prefer hybrids and used EVs. EVs now make up only 6% of US car sales, down from 8.5% last year. In contrast, Europe’s EV market share rose to 23.2%, driven by high fuel prices and strict emissions rules, with Chinese automakers expanding there.
