US Cold War Spy Satellite Named Farrah Fawcett Breaks Apart in Orbit
A US spy satellite from the Cold War era, launched in 1988 and known as USA 32 or FARRAH III, broke apart on September 13, 2026. The satellite, which collected electronic intelligence, fragmented at an altitude of approximately 775 kilometers above Earth after nearly 40 years in low Earth orbit.
