US Banks Set for Record $5 Billion from Gold and Silver Trading
In the first half of 2026, major US banks saw strong profits from precious metals trading. JPMorgan Chase earned about $700 million trading gold, silver, and other metals. Deutsche Bank re-entered bullion trading, making over $200 million. Analysts expect total bank revenues from precious metals trading to reach around $5 billion by year-end.
