WorldUS and Iran Lead Global Military Drone Exports with 85% Share
Between 2022 and 2025, the US and Iran dominated global military drone exports, accounting for 85% of shipments, according to SIPRI data. The US exported 7,593 drones (45.1%), mostly to Ukraine, while Iran exported 6,800 drones (40.4%), mainly to Russia. Germany and Poland followed distantly. Most exports were one-way attack drones and loitering munitions, with Iran's shipments primarily Shahed-136 drones.
