BusinessUS 10-Year Treasury Yield May Reach 6% for First Time Since 2000
Dan Ivascyn, Pimco's chief investment officer, warned that the US 10-year Treasury yield could rise to 6% for the first time since 2000 due to rising oil prices, inflation concerns, and increasing government debt. The yield is currently around 5.29%, having climbed nearly 120 basis points this year. Further increases could pressure equities and corporate bonds, especially if yields exceed 5.5%.
