UPI Transactions Hit Record 25.47 Billion in October Amid Festive Spending

India's digital payments via Unified Payments Interface (UPI) surged to a record 25.47 billion transactions in October, a 23% increase year-on-year, driven by festive shopping during Navratri and Durga Puja. The total transaction value reached Rs 31.53 lakh crore, up 16% from last year. Average daily transactions rose to 822 million, with daily value surpassing Rs 1 lakh crore for the first time.
