UPI Records Rs 1 Trillion Daily Transactions in October

India's Unified Payments Interface (UPI) set a new record in October 2026 with an average daily transaction value exceeding Rs 1 lakh crore for the first time. The cumulative transaction value reached Rs 31.53 lakh crore, surpassing the previous high of Rs 29.9 lakh crore from May 2026. October also saw 25.47 billion transactions, averaging 821 million per day, driven by festive spending.
