UP priest shot dead over wrong prophecy about unborn child's gender

In Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, an 81-year-old priest named Devanand Bharti was shot dead by a man, Zeeshan, and his father after the priest's prediction of a boy's birth proved wrong. Zeeshan's wife gave birth to a girl, angering Zeeshan and his father, who then killed the priest inside a temple. Police arrested the duo and uncovered their attempt to mislead investigators with a planted photo.
