Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi emphasized that protection systems should proactively reach women instead of expecting them to approach authorities. Speaking at a conference on protection officers handling domestic violence cases, she highlighted the crucial role of officers in responding to complaints, conducting timely risk assessments, and ensuring continuous follow-up to prevent further violence. NCW chief Vijaya Rahatkar also attended the event.
