UK Court Sentences Teens to 10 Years for 2025 Indian Restaurant Arson

Two 17-year-old British teenagers were sentenced to 10 years in prison for a planned arson attack on Aroma, an Indian restaurant in London, in August 2025. Five diners suffered severe burns after the teens spread petrol and set the restaurant on fire, holding the doors shut. The attack was described as "sophisticated and professional" by Judge Michael Grieve KC. The victims included a woman with burns over 50% of her body, placed in a medically induced coma.
