Two locomotive pilots were injured in separate stone-pelting attacks near Tuni and Samalkot railway stations on October 11, 2026. At around 4:50 a.m., a stone thrown at the Mahabubnagar-Visakhapatnam Express near Tuni broke the windshield and injured pilot Bhima Sur. Another pilot, K.G. Eshwar Rao, suffered a head injury near Samalkot at 1:30 a.m. The suspect was taken into custody. Railway officials provided first aid to both pilots.
