PoliticsTurkey Rules Out Sending Troops to Yemen Despite Saudi Pact
Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated that Turkey will not send troops to Yemen to fight Houthi forces despite the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. The pact is for collective defence only and does not permit offensive operations in other countries. Turkey may provide defensive and technical support, including military equipment and intelligence sharing, but will not engage in attacks inside Yemen.
