Tungabhadra water supply extended to four districts until Nov 20

The Tungabhadra Project and Vijayanagara Canals Irrigation Consultative Committee decided to supply water for drinking and crop protection in Koppal, Raichur, Ballari, and Vijayanagara districts until November 20. Due to severe rainfall deficit, no water will be released for the rabi season. The reservoir currently holds 53 TMC feet of water, with losses expected from evaporation. Priority is given to drinking water amid drought conditions.
