Tripura Man Sentenced to Life for Raping and Impregnating Minor

A Tripura court sentenced a 30-year-old man to life imprisonment and fined him ₹25,000 for raping and impregnating a 17-year-old girl in Khowai district. The girl was assaulted twice in 2021 while tutoring his children and at her home. The man was arrested under IPC sections 376(1), 506, and the POCSO Act. Failure to pay the fine results in six months rigorous imprisonment.
