Torrent Power's 3,000 MW Karjat Project to Boost Clean Energy and Grid Stability

Torrent Power announced that its 3,000 MW Pumped Storage Project in Karjat, Raigad district, will enhance Maharashtra's grid stability and clean energy integration. Located 16 km from Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary, all project components lie outside the sanctuary and Eco-Sensitive Zone. The project will store surplus wind and solar power, generating 6,570 million units annually, enough for 5.5 million homes. Torrent plans to plant 60,000 trees to offset environmental impact.
