Top 10 Companies Lose ₹1.55 Lakh Crore in Market Value

Eight of India's top 10 most valuable companies saw a combined market value drop of ₹1.55 lakh crore last week. HDFC Bank and Bajaj Finance suffered the largest losses. The BSE Sensex fell 1,605.44 points (2.15%) and NSE Nifty dropped 546.15 points (2.36%) during a short trading week. Total market capitalization of BSE-listed firms declined by ₹20.78 lakh crore over four sessions. Tata Consultancy Services and Larsen & Toubro saw gains.

Moscow to Host 2030 World Weightlifting Championships

Moscow will host the 2030 World Weightlifting Championships, the first major Olympic sports event awarded to Russia since its 2022 invasion of Ukraine, the International Weightlifting Federation announced. Ahmedabad, India, will host the 2029 edition. The 2030 Moscow event will also serve as a qualifier for the 2032 Olympics. Man and Friends Arrested for IED Attack on Cousin in Bengaluru
