The Indian government is set to ease freight transport and boost trade by developing three new multimodal logistic parks in Patna, Nashik, and Hyderabad. The total investment is estimated at ₹2,870 crore. Patna's park will cover 103 acres with ₹870 crore investment, Hyderabad's 156 acres with ₹1,300 crore, and Nashik's 123 acres with ₹700 crore. Approval is awaited to start tender and construction processes. Additionally, a special rail project will add third and fourth lines between Vadodara and Ratlam on the Delhi-Mumbai route, increasing freight capacity by 16.5 million tons annually by 2029.
