A 10-second dashcam video captured the incidents, but no injuries were reported. The rainbow flyovers were painted ahead of Durga Puja, sparking concerns about road safety. The BJP government recently took office and is organizing festive events in Kolkata.

Two Arrested for ₹1.7 Crore Fake Jewellery Fraud in Vellore

Two jewellery appraisers at a nationalised bank in Kavanur village, Vellore, were arrested for misappropriating ₹1.7 crore by pledging 1,080 grams of fake gold sovereigns. B. Parthiban and G. Srinivasan created 16 fake customer accounts to carry out the fraud over several years, evading suspicion by pledging small amounts repeatedly. The scam was uncovered during a surprise bank inspection.
