Tesla to End Cybertruck Production by Mid-2027 for Cybercab Focus

Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced that Cybertruck production at the Texas Gigafactory will wind down by mid-2027 to increase production of the Cybercab self-driving taxi. It is unclear if Cybertruck manufacturing will move elsewhere or stop entirely. The Cybertruck, launched in 2023, struggled with sales despite initial hype since its 2019 unveiling. The Texas factory is currently the only facility equipped for its specialized parts.
