The Highways Department has called for consultants to prepare a detailed project report for an elevated corridor running from Lighthouse to Thiru Vi Ka Bridge. The corridor will pass via Santhome High Road, Greenways Road, and Durgabai Deshmukh Road. It will feature two lanes for the first 1.8 km and four lanes for the remaining stretch. The project is expected to take two years to complete.
