Telangana Cyber Bureau Files Case Against 3 Telemarketing Firms for SMS Fraud

The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau has registered a case against three telemarketing companies—Onextel Limited, Nimbus Adcom Pvt Ltd, and TVL Media Pvt Ltd—for unauthorized transmission of fraudulent commercial SMSes. The complaint by ValueFirst Digital Media Pvt Ltd alleges misuse of registered SMS headers and templates of KFin Technologies Limited and Nariman Finvest Pvt Ltd, both government-registered entities. Investigations revealed overlapping unauthorized telemarketing entities involved in the fraud.
