Telangana CM Revanth Increases Ex-Gratia for Families of Fallen Police

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced an increase in ex-gratia payments for families of police personnel killed on duty. Payments for Home Guards families rose from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh, SPs and IPS officers' families from Rs 1 crore to Rs 2 crore, and head constables and Additional SPs from Rs 45 lakh to between Rs 1 crore and Rs 1.5 crore. All vacant police posts will be filled by 2028, and 112 Deputy Superintendents of Police will be inducted, the largest batch in Telangana's history.

21 Protected Turtles Rescued in Madhya Pradesh After Gang Tip-Off

In Indore, Madhya Pradesh, the State Tiger Strike Force rescued 21 protected turtles following a tip-off from Raunak Juneja, an arrested member of an interstate wildlife smuggling gang. The recovered turtles include 19 Indian Pond turtles and 2 Star Tortoises, both protected under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972. Five accused have been arrested so far in the case.
