Tamil Nadu Doubles Free Temple Meals Scheme Beneficiaries

The Tamil Nadu government has doubled the daily free meal scheme at ten major temples, benefiting over 5 lakh devotees annually. HR&CE Minister C. Ramesh inaugurated the expansion at Arulmigu Subramaniya Swamy Temple, Kundrathur. Key temples like Perur Pateeswarar, Sivanmalai Subramaniya Swamy, and Chennai's Kasi Viswanatha now serve 200 meals daily, up from 100, adding 2,25,475 new beneficiaries each year.
