Tamil Nadu Dissolves Union-State Relations Panel Formed Under MK Stalin
The Tamil Nadu government has disbanded the three-member High-Level Committee on Union-State Relations formed under former CM MK Stalin in April 2025. The committee's work has been transferred to the State Law Commission due to overlapping functions. Chaired by retired Supreme Court judge Kurian Joseph, the panel reviewed constitutional provisions and recommended measures to strengthen federalism, including mandatory timelines for governors on state bills and rejecting the 'One Nation, One Language' policy.
