Taiwan is investing billions of dollars in aerial and sea drones to counter increasing Chinese military pressure. The military plans to acquire over 1,400 coastal surveillance drones, 200,000 coastal attack drones, and 1,320 one-way attack uncrewed surface vessels. A recent NT$240 billion (US$7.4 billion) drone defense bill was passed, with more funding expected. Manufacturers from Taiwan, the US, and Singapore showcased drones at a Tainan yacht resort.
