The Supreme Court warned on Friday that if the closure of Connaught Place due to the 'Tiranga protest' by the Cockroach Janata Party causes unlawful business losses, it will use its powers. The bench, led by Chief Justice Surya Kant and Justice Joymalya Bagchi, said if the New Delhi Municipal Corporation's ban is found excessive, the court will act on compensation principles. The next hearing is scheduled for October 26-27 after Dussehra holidays.
