The Supreme Court of India has agreed to intervene in the case of Delhi voters removed from the electoral roll during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). The Election Commission is requiring these voters to apply as fresh voters using Form 6, which demands a declaration of never having voted before. Advocates Prashant Bhushan and Neha Rathi argued that voters should be allowed to file Form 8 or a new form instead to restore their names without misrepresentation.
