PoliticsSupreme Court Takes Suo Motu Notice of Central Secretariat Library Space Issue
The Supreme Court has taken suo motu cognisance of the 135-year-old Central Secretariat Library (CSL), which faces space issues under the new Central Vista redevelopment plan. The CSL, the country's second-largest library with about 850,000 books, was ordered to vacate its Shastri Bhawan premises by September 30. The matter will be heard by Justices Sanjay Kumar and Sanjeev Sachdeva on Monday.
