The Supreme Court on Monday refused to hear Sukesh Chandrashekhar's plea seeking a stay on his eight-year jail sentence. He was convicted by a Delhi court for impersonating a Supreme Court judge and attempting to influence a special judge. The Delhi High Court also dismissed his plea for a stay on October 16, allowing him to present arguments during his pending appeal. The lower court termed the offenses as serious judicial misconduct.
