Supreme Court Rejects Plea to Shift Tirupati Laddu Ghee Adulteration Trial

The Supreme Court on Thursday refused to consider a plea to conduct the trial of the Tirupati laddu ghee adulteration case outside Andhra Pradesh. The bench, led by Chief Justice Suryakant and Justice Joymalya Bagchi, dismissed the petition filed by Maharashtra dairy businessman Machindra Shantaram Lanke, accused in the case. Lanke's lawyer argued political statements by leaders created a hostile environment, but the court rejected the plea.
