Supreme Court Raises Concern Over Firecracker Sales in Delhi

The Supreme Court expressed concern over reports of firecrackers being openly sold in Delhi despite its restrictions. Justices MM Sundresh and Prasanna B Varale referred to a newspaper report showing various firecrackers available in markets, including licensed and unlicensed types with and without QR codes. Additional Solicitor General Aishwarya Bhati was asked to investigate the alleged violations. The court had permitted only certified green firecrackers in Delhi-NCR from November 2.
