HealthSupreme Court Questions Huge Price Gap in Cancer Drug MRP
The Supreme Court questioned the central government about the large difference between the MRP and actual price of medicines. Justices Vikram Nath and Sandeep Mehta cited an example of a cancer drug with an MRP of around ₹27,000 but a retail price of only ₹2,700. The court asked if uniform pricing rules could be established for medicines.
