Supreme Court Petition Seeks Release of CJP Leaders Detained in Delhi Protest
A habeas corpus petition has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking the release of Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke, co-convener Saurav Das, spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka, and others allegedly detained during a protest in Delhi on October 10, 2026. The protest concerned issues related to the Chief Election Commissioner and the special intensive revision of electoral rolls. The petition was filed under Article 32 by Gaurav Bharti through advocates Rajesh G. Inamdar and Shashwat Anand.
