Supreme Court Orders Punjab, Haryana to Supply Electricity to Himachal

On November 6, 2026, the Supreme Court directed Punjab and Haryana to supply 11,973 million units of electricity to Himachal Pradesh over 20 years. This settles a decades-old dispute over Himachal's 7.19% share from Bhakra-Nangal and Beas hydroelectric projects.
