Supreme Court Judge Criticizes Voter Name Deletions from Rolls
Justice Ujjal Bhuyan of the Supreme Court condemned the large-scale deletion of voter names during the special intensive revision of electoral rolls. He stated that these deletions strike at the core of the Indian Constitution and disenfranchise millions. Bhuyan emphasized that voting rights are essential for free and fair elections and urged that no citizen should lose this right without due process.
