Supreme Court Forms High-Level Panel to Probe July Jantar Mantar Violence

The Supreme Court has constituted a high-level investigation committee (HPEC) to examine all aspects of the violence that occurred at Jantar Mantar, Delhi, and other locations outside Delhi in July 2026. The committee will focus on issues such as the use of pellet guns, targeted violence, harassment of female protesters, and property damage. A portal (http://hpec.nic.in) has been launched for affected individuals, including police personnel, to file complaints confidentially and securely.
