The Supreme Court on Monday granted an additional 10 days to the Ritabrata Banerjee faction to submit their response to the Election Commission in the Trinamool Congress name and symbol dispute. The Mamata Banerjee faction also received 10 more days to reply to the rival faction's affidavit. The case concerns control over the party, with both factions claiming the Trinamool Congress name and symbol 'flower and grass.' Earlier, the court had directed both sides to file documents within four weeks and the Election Commission to decide within three months.
