The Supreme Court on Monday refused to allow Delhi riots accused Shadab Ahmed to attend law studies at a university in Ghaziabad. The court rejected changes to his bail conditions that restrict travel outside the National Capital Region during trial. Justice Arvind Kumar and Justice Vipul M Pancholi declined to modify these terms. Ahmed's lawyer cited his admission to a Ghaziabad university after failing to enroll at Delhi University. The petition was withdrawn with court approval, but lower court relief remains an option. Ahmed was granted bail by the Supreme Court in January.
