Sugarcane Farmers End Rasta Roko, March to Hubballi for Justice

Sugarcane farmers ended their two-day rasta roko protest demanding higher sugarcane prices on Wednesday night in Belagavi district. They started a 125-km march from Hattargi Toll Plaza to Hubballi, the hometown of Union Food Minister Pralhad Joshi, seeking justice. The farmers will now protest in front of the minister's house. Police have begun reopening the Pune-Bengaluru National Highway, allowing traffic on one side.
