HealthPhoto: HT HealthStudy Links Nighttime TV Light to Heart Changes
A study in the European Heart Journal analyzed 11,071 UK Biobank participants who wore wrist devices measuring light exposure at night. After three years, cardiovascular MRI scans showed those exposed to over 3 lux of nighttime light had a 2.4% higher left ventricular mass, 1.5% thicker heart walls, and 1.9% lower myocardial contraction fraction, indicating concentric cardiac remodeling.
