Study Finds No Link Between Ultra-Processed Food and Colorectal Cancer
A study involving 461,000 adults found no overall link between total ultra-processed food intake and colorectal cancer incidence. However, replacing just 10% of ultra-processed foods with whole foods was associated with a reduced risk of bowel cancer. The research highlights that ultraprocessed meats, but not grains or dairy, may increase colorectal cancer risk.
