Stephen Hawking Lived in Cambridge Villa While Writing 'A Brief History of Time'
Stephen Hawking lived at a Victorian villa at 5 West Road, Cambridge, owned by Gonville & Caius College, during a significant period of his life. In 1975, he and his first wife, Jane, moved there with their children due to his motor neurone disease making stairs difficult to manage. This villa was later replaced by a building named after him.
