Stanford's Orca-T Blood Cancer Therapy Treats First Commercial Patient
Stanford researchers have introduced Orca-T, a blood cancer therapy approved by the FDA after 20 years of development. The treatment was given to its first commercial patient, a high-risk leukemia case. Orca-T reduces graft-versus-host disease risk after stem cell transplants, lowers chemotherapy needs, and decreases side effects. Future studies will explore its use for more patients.
