Climate activist and educator Sonam Wangchuk said protests are a good way for governments to improve. Speaking at the IPF festival in Mumbai, he warned that banning protests could lead to unrest like in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. He noted that many countries, including the UK, Norway, and Sweden, allow protests right in front of their parliaments, unlike India where protests are held far away from Parliament.
