Sonam Wangchuk Says Centre Betrayed Ladakh, Demands Full Statehood

Sonam Wangchuk stated that representatives of the Leh Apex Body and Kargil Democratic Alliance came prepared for talks on October 22 in Delhi, following a May 15 meeting in Leh. They expected to discuss drafts from the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ladakh bodies regarding the powers and structure of the UT-level body and district councils. Wangchuk accused the Centre of betrayal and demanded full statehood for Ladakh.
