SIT Formed to Probe Fire Near Kochi's Kadavumbhagam Synagogue

A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to investigate suspected extremist links in an arson incident near the historic Kadavumbhagam Synagogue in Kochi. On October 12, Ebin B Paul, 32, set fire to a signboard at Blossom Nursery near the synagogue entrance. Two police officers assigned to synagogue security were suspended. The SIT is led by Assistant Commissioner Sibi Tom under Deputy Commissioner Arun Pavitran.
