Singapore's National Environment Agency has identified seven companies involved in wildfires in Indonesia that caused haze over the city-state. Notices were issued requiring fire prevention and control plans. Among the companies are PT Bumi Andalas Permai and PT Bumi Mekar Hijau, suppliers to APP Group, which enforces a zero-burning policy. The haze is worsened by El Niño conditions. Singapore's Prime Minister Lawrence Wong vowed to investigate responsible firms.
